King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB)

A leading public technology university in Thailand, with a rich history of international collaboration and academic excellence.

1959

Founded as North Bangkok Technical School

Jointly established by the Royal Thai Government and the Federal Republic of Germany, known as the Thai-German Technical School.

1964

Upgraded to Thai-German Technical College

The school was elevated to college status, expanding its academic and technical programs.

1971

Became King Mongkut's Institute of Technology North Bangkok Campus

Integrated into King Mongkut's Institute of Technology as the North Bangkok campus.

1986

Autonomous University

The Institute separated into three autonomous universities; the North Bangkok campus became King Mongkut's Institute of Technology North Bangkok.

1995

Expansion to Prachinburi

Established the Prachinburi campus to extend educational opportunities to rural areas.

2007

Renamed as KMUTNB

Became "King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok" and an autonomous state university.

Present

Three Campuses

KMUTNB now has three campuses located in Bangkok, Rayong, and Prachinburi provinces.
